2026 Tax Deadlines & Extension Dates for Texas
Every date that matters in 2026 — federal filing, extension, quarterly estimates, and the Texas-specific items most filers miss.

Texas doesn't have a state income tax, but federal deadlines and Texas business deadlines still hit hard. Here's the calendar I give every client at the start of the year.
Federal deadlines
- January 15, 2026 — Q4 2025 estimated taxes due
- January 31, 2026 — W-2s and 1099-NEC delivered to recipients
- March 16, 2026 — S-Corp and Partnership returns (Form 1120-S, 1065)
- April 15, 2026 — Individual returns (1040), C-Corp returns (1120), Q1 estimates
- June 15, 2026 — Q2 estimates
- September 15, 2026 — Q3 estimates, extended S-Corp/Partnership returns
- October 15, 2026 — Extended individual returns
Texas-specific deadlines
- May 15, 2026 — Texas Franchise Tax Report (or extension)
- Monthly/quarterly — Texas sales & use tax filings (depends on your volume)
